Naomi and I can both agree that Sel Rrose serves one of the most elegant drinks we’ve seen in New York. The Lavender Piscine is complete with champagne, lavender infused ice, herbs de provence syrup, and grapefruit bitters.
This charming drink is served in a large wine glass, an enormous ice cube floating in an ocean of champaign. To top this all off, a small lavender stem is placed on the ice cube as a garnish. The word “Piscine” in French means pool, which is quite befitting to the lavender ice cube floating in a pool of crisp champaign.
The atmosphere of Sel Rrose is a mix of Parisian rustic with a modern touch. One thing I noticed was their perfect lighting, not too bright and not too dark. Even during the evening hours, the soft glow from the table candles and overhead lights allowed us to enjoy the delicate taste of the Lavender Piscine as well as it’s elegant presentation.
