EMILY (pictured above)
Pizza and honey might not be your typical combination, but somehow Emily makes it work like magic. This snug little pizzeria is steps away from the Clinton-Washington Avenues station, and offers delightful pies that will blow your mind. The Colony and Emily are two different takes on a honey pizza. While the Colony is a more savory pie with crispy pepperoni and spicy jalapeños, the Emily is a slightly sweeter vegetarian friendly pie, topped with mozzarella, truffle sottocenere, a sprinkle of crushed pistachios, and to finish, a drizzle of honey. The wait at Emily’s can be quite a long one during peak hours. But there is no need to fret, making a reservation on OpenTable will insure you a seat on arrival, or you can head over to Sisters, a bar across the street, where you can enjoy a delicious cocktail while killing time.

If you’re a yogurt lover and want to try some seriously delicious creations served with honey, swing by Greecologies in Little Italy. This beautiful “acropolistic” shop offers yogurt from grass fed cows–that means no GMOs, sweeteners, or thickeners. We recommend both the traditional and strained type topped with fresh blueberries, raspberries, and a dollop of their “luscious honey.” Along with their beautifully packaged jams and granola on sale, Greek mythology and history books are available for your reading pleasure.

Along with their delicious heart-warming comfort food, Jacob’s Pickles serves some exquisite drinks that will leave you happy and satisfied. Try the Honey Julep (pictured to the right), a concoction of four roses bourbon, muddle mint, and honey syrup – if you are a sweet tooth go for this one! Or, if you prefer your drinks on the more refreshing side, try the Tennessee Honey Suckle (pictured to the left), which includes Dickle #12, orange preserves, clover honey, and fresh squeezed lemonade.
